Attempted Honor Killing of 15-Year-Old Daughter in Vienna-Donaustadt: The Verdict for the Father

A 51-year-old man was found guilty of attempted murder of his daughter at the Vienna Regional Court on Tuesday. He received a life sentence. The Afghan citizen had stabbed his 15-year-old daughter over a dozen times with a kitchen knife in Vienna-Donaustadt in November 2025. According to the prosecutor, this happened to "erase the family disgrace" because the girl had a boyfriend against her father's will. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
