Stardust from Space: Earth Currently Passing Through Interstellar Cloud

Dresden researchers have discovered traces of the rare isotope iron-60 in Antarctic ice. The findings suggest that Earth and the solar system are currently traveling through an interstellar cloud containing remnants of a past supernova.
