Hot weather, only isolated rain expected over PH in 24 hours

MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country would be again experiencing hot weather while isolated downpours would only be likely during late afternoon or at night, the state-run weather agency said on Wednesday. Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said it has not monitored any low pressure area forming inside or outside the archipelago’s area of responsibility in the coming days. She reiterated in a 5a. m. briefing that fair weather conditions would prevail in most areas over the next 24 hours due to the easterlies – winds that pass through the Pacific Ocean and carry humid and warm weather. The same weather system, however, would be bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Visayas, MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan), and Bicol Region, according to the Pagasa forecaster. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country would be experiencing a similar weather pattern but due to the localized thunderstorms, the national weather bureau said. It said in the same advisory that the National Capital Region would likely have a heat index of 41 degrees Celsius, which falls under extreme caution category, while the highest could be over San Ildefonso, Bulacan at 45 degrees Celsius, falling under danger level.
