CAMALIG, ALBAY, Philippines — At least 50 evacuees staying in evacuation centers here for more than four months now have contracted chickenpox or bulutong-tubig, local disaster officials said on Wednesday. Dr. Rommel Negrete, chief of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), said 19 families were affected by the contagious disease, which he said was aggravated by the prevailing hot weather.
