Korea's exports moved up 65 percent from a year earlier in the first 20 days of May, data showed Thursday. Outbound shipments reached $52.7 billion in the May 1-20 period, compared with $31.9 billion tallied in the same period last year, according to data released by the Korea Customs Service. Imports went up 29.3 percent on-year to $41.6 billion over the cited period, resulting in a trade surplus of $11 billion.
