OLONGAPO CITY— A militant fisherfolk group on Thursday blasted Sen. Pia Cayetano for allegedly playing the victim, calling her emotional display in the Senate “crocodile tears” meant to distract the public from the chamber’s role in harboring a colleague facing international charges. In a statement, the group Pamalakaya denounced the “extended drama” in the upper chamber after Cayetano supposedly broke down over a recent gun-related security breach inside the Senate premises on May 13.
