Oman raised its medal tally to 30 at the 4th GCC Games in Doha, Qatar after adding four more bronze medals ahead of the event’s conclusion on Friday. The latest medals came from shooting, volleyball and snooker, as Omani athletes continued to deliver strong performances against tough regional competition. Oman’s shooting team secured two bronze medals in the 10m pistol events. Salem bin Talib Al Hinai claimed bronze in the individual competition, while the men’s team of Sulaiman bin Abdullah Al Rahbi, Salem bin Fadil Al Shidi and Al Hinai added another bronze in the team event. Al Hinai expressed pride in the achievement, describing the competition as highly competitive and technically demanding. “Winning bronze in both the individual and team events is the result of teamwork and cooperation among all members of the team,” he said, adding that the tournament provided valuable preparation for upcoming regional and international championships. Oman’s volleyball team also ended its campaign on a high note by securing the bronze medal, while the national snooker team added another bronze after finishing third in the team competition.
