"Tebnine Governmental Hospital sustained severe damage on Thursday following two alleged Israeli airstrikes near the facility. Footage released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health shows shattered glass and debris scattered across the hospital corridors, along with damaged medical equipment and broken furniture. The hospital also appeared empty of patients, visitors, and medical staff. On Wednesday, media reports suggested that an alleged Israeli strike near the government hospital in Tebnine killed two people and wounded another. In its latest toll issued on Thursday, the Health Emergency Operations Center at Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said Israeli attacks carried out between March 2 and May 21 had killed 3,089 people and wounded 9,397 others. The Israeli army had not commented on the attack at the time of publication, but has repeatedly stated that its operations in Lebanon target what it describes as Hezbollah infrastructure and capabilities. On April 15, US President Donald Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, later extending it by three weeks on April 23 following talks between Israeli and Lebanese officials in Washington. On May 15, the ceasefire was extended for 45 days. Israel has indicated it intends to establish a 'security zone' inside Lebanese territory stretching from the border to the Litani River, an area equivalent to around 10% of the country."
