"French Global Sumud Flotilla members, who were intercepted by Israeli forces while attempting to reach Gaza, arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on Friday. Footage shows the activists embracing friends and family members, while supporters chant slogans and carry Palestinian flags and pro-Palestine signs. "430 people coming from 45 different countries were intercepted. We recorded at least 37 people with fractures and at least sixteen instances of sexual violence," said Yasmin, a French activist who took part in the mission. She alleged some detainees were injected with unknown substances, accusing the 'systematisation' of violence by Israeli forces. Adrien, a member of Global Sumud France's coordination team, said detainees were allegedly beaten after being transferred into containers during detention. "We went into this container one by one. So there were 180 people, one by one. There were three soldiers in this container, and we each stayed for two to three minutes, and they beat us up in the dark," he detailed. Adrien added that some activists were punched and kicked while others were allegedly tasered, as some detainees emerged 'covered in blood'. "That was terrible. On top of that, the worst thing for me was that they took pleasure in this torture, pleasure in this humiliation. And it was really hard, especially since we were non-violent people. I saw really lovely people being tortured and it was really difficult," he stressed. Israel intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters earlier this week, seizing all 50 vessels and detaining participants from more than 40 countries. The convoy aimed to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza amid Israel's ongoing land and naval blockade, with the enclave facing severe shortages of food, medicine and essential supplies."
