MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Metro Manila and five provinces will experience scheduled power interruptions this week because of maintenance works, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said on Sunday. Affected areas in Metro Manila are Marikina City, Taguig, Caloocan, Paranaque, Quezon City, Muntinlupa, Pasig, Manila and Malabon. Affected provinces are Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Quezon and Rizal. In Marikina City, Sto. Niño and Sta. Elena will have no electricity on May 25 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. due to line reconstruction works and line reconductoring works along Shoe Ave. in Barangay Sto. Nino. In Taguig City, the Bay Breeze Executive Village in Barangay Hagonoy will have no power on May 26 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. due to the replacement of electricity poles and line reconductoring works along Seagull Ave. Sta. Ana, Calzada, Palingon and Napindan also in Taguig will have no electricity on May 28 between 9 a.m. and noon due to the installation of electricity facilities along C-6 Road. Parts of Grace Park in Caloocan City will have power interruptions on May 26-27 between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to Line reconductoring works along 8th Ave. in Grace Park. In Parañaque City, parts of Solaire Resort & Casino along Aseana Ave. will have no electricity on May 26 between 8 a.m. and noon due to maintenance works inside the establishment. A portion of C. Benitez St. near Sunset Drive in Barangay Bagong Lipunan Ng Crame, Quezon City will have power interruptions on May 27 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. because of the replacement of electricity facilities and line reconductoring works along C. Benitez St. Tandang Sora, Sauyo and Talipapa also in Quezon City will have no power on May 29-30 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. because of line reconductoring works along along D. Muñoz Ave. in Barangay Tandang Sora. In Muntinlupa City, portions of Barangay Bayanan and Putatan will have no electricity on May 28 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. because of the relocation of electricity facilities along Bautista St. in Barangay Bayanan. Sections of Barangay San Antonio, Pasig City will have no power on May 28-29 between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. due to the installation and replacement of electricity facilities along Garnet and Topaz Roads in Ortigas Commercial Center, Barangay San Antonio. Portions of Barangay Rosario will have a brief power interruption on May 28 between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. because of line maintenance works along GSIS Road in Barangay Rosario. Some areas in Binondo and Tondo, Manila will have power interruptions on May 28-29 between 11:45 p.m. and 4:45 a.m. due to the reconstruction and installation of electricity facilities along Padre Algue and Sanchez Sts. in Tondo. In Malabon City, the villages of Baritan, Concepcion and Muzon will have no power on May 29 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. due to the upgrading, installation and replacement of electricity facilities along A. Reyes and Karilagan Streets in the villages of Baritan, Concepcion and Muzon. Provinces, too The Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Import Facility in Barangay Tabangao Ambulong Proper in Batangas City, Batangas will have no power on May 28 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. because of National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) maintenance works inside its Batangas substation, and line maintenance works along the Batangas–Taysan 69 kilovolt (kV) transmission lines. Parts of Barangay Tabing Ilog in Marilao City, Bulacan will have power interruptions on May 29 between 12:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. due to the relocation of facilities along M. Villarica Road in Barangay Tabing Ilog. Intercity Ricemillers Industrial Compound located in Barangay Wakas, Bocaue and in Barangay San Juan, Balagtas in Bulacan will have no power on May 31 between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. due to line maintenance works in the building. The Palo Alto Subdivision in Barangay Habay I, Bacoor City in Cavite will have no electricity on May 26 between 9 a.m. and noon because of the upgrading of electricity facilities there. In Imus City, Corner Stone Executive Homes – Imus in Barangay Medicion II-D will have power interruptions on May 28 between 9:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. due to the relocation of electricity poles along Medicion II St. in Barangay Medicion II-D. Power interruptions in Alfonso, Naic, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon, and Ternate in Cavite will have power interruptions on May 28 between 11 a.m. and 11:05 a.m. because of line maintenance works along Governor’s Drive in Ternate, Cavite. In Quezon, villages of Cabatang and Talisay in Tiaong; and parts of Barangay Antonino, Dolores will have no electricity on May 28 between a.m. and 3 p.m. because of the relocation of electricity poles affected by the construction of the South Luzon Expressway Toll Road 4 (SLEX TR4) along Cabatang Road in Barangay Cabatang, Tiaong, Quezon. The villages of Calumpang, Darangan and Kalawaan in Binangonan, Rizal will have power interruptions on May 28-29 between 11:30 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. because of the relocation of electricity facilities and line reconductoring works along J. P. Rizal Ave. in Barangay Calumpang, Binangonan.
