"The Jordanian national team (Al-Nashami) has begun its training camp in Amman on Sunday, in preparation for its first World Cup campaign. Footage shows part of the Jordanian national team's training session where players were put through their paces under the watchful eye of head coach Jamal Sellami. "I think the squad here is the best one for me. Everyone is performing well. Everyone is eager to represent Jordan in our first World Cup," said Jamal Salami, National team coach. "They have a strong desire to represent Jordan well and to perform in a way that meets the expectations of the Jordanian public and all fans of Jordanian football," he added. Forward Ali Al-Azaizeh highlighted the significance of the Nashama making its first World Cup appearance. "We are fully aware of the responsibility that rests on our shoulders today. It is certainly no easy task to represent the Nashama at the World Cup," he said. "The tournament is not just a football match; it is a representation of an entire nation. We will spare no effort for the team, and God willing, we will live up to everyone's expectations," he added. Jordan is set to face Switzerland on May 31 in a friendly match, before travelling to the United States, where they will compete in Group J alongside defending champions Argentina, Algeria and Austria. The World Cup kicks off on June 11 and runs until July 19, across the United States, Canada and Mexico."
