MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas said athletes currently competing in the Palarong Pambansa remain safe despite the quake felt in Agusan del Sur since Sunday, May 24. “After receiving reports of the recent quake that hit Agusan del Sur last night, we immediately coordinated with our DepEd Division heads to check on the status of our athletes who are currently in Agusan for the 2026 Palarong Pambansa,” Gullas said in a social media post. “Dr. Arden Monisit, our Talisay City Schools Division superintendent, has assured me that our athletes and coaching staff are safe.
