Experts say it is a good idea to prepare one or two workouts that can easily be done indoors during the hottest months. So which indoor exercises provide the biggest results in the shortest amount of time? According to U.S. health and lifestyle magazine Prevention, the following exercises are effective for weight loss and building a toned physique. Push-ups Push-ups are one of the most classic strength-training exercises. They help strengthen the chest, shoulders, arms and even the abdominal muscles. To perform a push-up, start in a plank position with your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Keep your body in a straight line from head to toe. Lower your chest toward the floor by bending your elbows, then push yourself back up while engaging your chest and arm muscles. Beginners can start with one set of five repetitions. People at a more intermediate level can do two sets of 10 and more advanced athletes
