An aging overpass in Seoul undergoing removal partially collapsed Tuesday, leaving at least six people injured, officials said. The incident occurred at the Seosomun Overpass at 2:32 p.m. as it was undergoing removal work. The overpass had been scheduled to be removed early next month. At least six people were injured in the incident, with fire authorities said to be conducting rescue efforts for two others under the debris. A Seoul city official said rescue efforts were ongoing, noting that a side of the overpass had sunk. The Korea Railroad Corp. said rail operations between Seoul Station and Sinchon Station have been suspended due to the incident.
