Met Office records hottest May day as 35C heatwave hits London

Today is the hottest day in May on record as temperatures have reached 35C in parts of London, the Met Office has confirmed. The temperature has provisionally reached 35C in Heathrow and Kew Gardens in the capital. There is currently an amber health warning in the south west, south east, London, east of England and east and west Midlands and will remain until Thursday at 5pm. MORE TO FOLLOW...
