Why the A4 near Vienna was impassable for hours

An accident involving three trucks caused a prolonged closure of the Ostautobahn (A4) towards Vienna on Tuesday in Lower Austria. The area from Fischamend to Schwechat (both in the district of Bruck an der Leitha) was impassable, resulting in a traffic jam stretching for kilometers.
