LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department has issued a list of 89 banned and monitored organisations ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, warning citizens not to donate sacrificial animal skins to them or their subsidiaries. According to the Punjab Home Department, sacrificial hides must not be given to any banned, monitored or affiliated organisation. The department said any kind of support to banned organisations is a crime under the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997. It warned that those supporting groups involved in terrorism or anti-state activities would face legal action. The spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department said registration with the Punjab Charity Commission is mandatory for charitable organisations operating in the province. Citizens have been advised to donate sacrificial skins only to organisations registered with the Punjab Charity Commission. The department said all registered organisations can be verified through the QR code printed on their certificates. The Home Department said deputy commissioners will issue permits to madrassas and charitable organisations for the collection of sacrificial hides. Citizens have been asked to ensure that hides are given only to institutions holding a valid Punjab Charity Commission certificate or a permit issued by the deputy commissioner. The department said people must ensure their donations reach deserving beneficiaries instead of terrorists or extremist networks. The list includes several banned and monitored organisations, including Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah Muhammad Pakistan, Jaish-e-Muhammad, Al-Rahmat Trust Bahawalpur, Al-Furqan Trust Karachi, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba, Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Jafariya Pakistan, Tehreek-e-Nifaz Shariat-e-Muhammadi, Tehreek-e-Islami, Al-Qaeda and Millat-e-Islamia Pakistan. It also includes Khuddam-e-Islami, Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan, Jamiat-e-Ansar, Jamaat-e-Furqan, Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Khair-un-Nas International Trust, Balochistan Liberation Army, Islamic Students Movement of Pakistan, Lashkar-e-Islami, Ansar-ul-Islam, Haji Namdar Group, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Balochistan Republican Army. The banned list also names Balochistan Liberation Front, Lashkar-e-Balochistan, Balochistan Liberation United Front, Balochistan Armed Defense Organisation, Shia Students Action Committee Gilgit, Markaz Sabeel Organisation Gilgit, Tanzeem Jawan-e-Ahle Sunnah Gilgit, People’s Peace Committee Lyari, Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat and Al-Haramain Foundation. Rabita Trust, Anjuman Imamia Gilgit-Baltistan, Muslim Students Organisation Gilgit, Tanzeem Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Gilgit and Balochistan Bunyad Parast Army are also included. The Home Department’s list also includes Tehreek-e-Nafaz Aman, Tahafuz Hudoodullah, Balochistan Waja Liberation Army, Baloch Republican Party Azad, Balochistan United Army, Islam Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Islam, Balochistan National Liberation Army, Khana Hikmat Gilgit-Baltistan, Tehreek-e-Taliban Swat, Tehreek-e-Taliban Mohmand, Tariq Geedar Group, Abdullah Azzam Brigade and East Turkestan Islamic Movement. Also named are Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Islamic Jihad Union, 313 Brigade, Tehreek-e-Taliban Bajaur, Amr Bil Maroof Wa Nahi An’il Munkar (Haji Namdar Group), Baloch Student Organisation Azad, United Baloch Army, Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, ISIS, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Al-Alami, Ansar-ul-Hussain, Tehreek-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir, Jundullah, Al-Rehma Welfare Trust Organisation and Balawaristan National Front Abdul Hakeem Khan Group. The list further includes Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Anfal Trust Lahore, Idara Khidmat-e-Khalq Lahore, Al-Dawat-ul-Irshad Pakistan Lahore, Al-Hamd Trust Lahore/ Faisalabad, Mosque and Welfare Trust Lahore, Al-Madinah Foundation Lahore and Muaz Bin Jabal Educational Trust Lahore.
