Marcos declares Naga as highly urbanized city

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared Naga City as the country’s 34th highly urbanized city (HUC), marking a major milestone for the Bicol city known for its model of participatory governance. The declaration was made through a presidential proclamation signed on Wednesday after Naga City met the income and population requirements under the Local Government Code of 1991.
