SC rules concurrent sentences in multiple murders undermine gravity of crime

ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ruled that imposing concurrent (overlapping) sentences for multiple murders substantially diminishes the seriousness of taking more than one life, holding that such a practice artificially equates killing a single person with killing several individuals.
