Person dies at Kaiteriteri Beach after water-related incident

A person has died after a water-related incident at Kaiteriteri Beach. Emergency services were called to Kaiteriteri-Sandy Bay Rd just before midday after reports of a person unresponsive on the beach. Despite the best efforts of the first responders, the person died at the scene. “Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time,” police said.
