Marcos meets Jica president to strengthen ties on infra, health, climate

TOKYO, Japan — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday met with Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) President Dr. Tanaka Akihiko to strengthen Philippines-Japan cooperation on infrastructure, healthcare, climate action, and Mindanao development. In a press release, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said Marcos and Tanaka discussed future collaboration on railway systems, road networks, and other infrastructure initiatives. They also explored cooperation programs to help the Philippines mitigate the impacts of the Middle East conflict, the PCO added.
