"A heavily-scorched apartment block was seen on Thursday following alleged Israeli airstrike in the Choueifat area near Beirut. The video shows the charred flat inside the residential complex, with recovery crews using machinery to remove destroyed vehicles from the area. Local media said the apartment on on the second floor of the Al-Rayyan complex near the Five Wings area in Choueifat was hit, close to Beirut’s southern suburbs. The Israeli army said it had carried out a "precise strike" in Beirut, while Israeli media reported that a raid targeted Ali al-Husseini, identified as a commander in Hezbollah’s rocket unit. According to figures released by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on Wednesday, 3,269 people have been killed and 9,840 others wounded since the war began on March 2. A fragile ceasefire remains in effect, with talks said to be ongoing between Israel and Lebanon. Some reports suggested Israel's forces had gone beyond their so-called 'yellow line' in southern Lebanon, which it says is intended to stop Hezbollah attacks. Israel has indicated it intends to establish a 'buffer zone' inside Lebanese territory stretching from the border to the Litani River, an area equivalent to around 10% of the country."
