S&P/TSX composite rises more than 100 points, U.S. markets also gain ground

TORONTO — Canada's main stock index rose more than 100 points on Thursday, helped by gains in technology stocks, as U.S. markets also moved higher. The S&P/TSX composite index was up 105.65 points at 34,517.70.
