LGU: Owner, contractor of collapsed Angeles site finally surface

ANGELES CITY — After several days of silence, the owner and contractor of the collapsed nine-story building in Barangay Balibago here have finally reached out to the Angeles City local government unit (LGU) and expressed willingness to cooperate in the ongoing investigation into the deadly incident. In a statement sent to the Inquirer on Thursday night, the Angeles City LGU said representatives of both parties had already coordinated with authorities regarding the investigation into the collapse of the under-construction structure before dawn on May 24, which has so far claimed six lives.
