9 Calabarzon areas face dangerous heat index

LUCENA CITY — At least nine areas in Cavite, Batangas, Quezon, and Laguna, that make up the Calabarzon region, are expected to experience dangerous heat index levels on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). In its 5 p.m. bulletin issued Thursday, Pagasa said Sangley Point in Cavite City, Cavite, is expected to register a heat index of 47 degrees Celsius on Friday.
