MANILA, Philippines – The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has set the 2026 installed capacity and market share caps to promote fair competition among generation companies. For this year, the commission said the national grid’s maximum installed generating capacity is 28,197,045 kilowatt (kW). The ERC has limited the installed generating capacity for Luzon at 20,422,906 kW; Visayas at 3,478,324 kW; and 4,295,915 kW for Mindanao.
