Sri Lankan shares closed higher on Friday, as broad-based sectoral gains lifted stocks. The CSE All Share index settled up 0.5% at 22,310.80, closing the week higher. Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC and Sathosa Motors PLC were the top percentage gainers on the CSE All Share index, rising 20% and 14.2%, respectively. Trading volume on the CSE All Share index rose to 516 million shares from 61.9 million in the previous session.
