THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) said on Friday it is offering free online courses on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and other digital skills. The initiative, it added, was done in partnership with Uneso-Unevoc and the HP Foundation to expand public access to future-ready training programs. Tesda Secretary Kiko Benitez said the initiative seeks to help Filipinos remain competitive as industries continue shifting toward technology-driven operations. “As industries continue to transform through technology and innovation, it is important that Filipinos are equipped with the skills needed to remain competitive and adaptable in the future of work. Using e-Tesda, we can further expand access to quality training,” Benitez said. More than 30 courses from the HP LIFE Program were integrated into Tesda’s online learning platform to allow Filipinos to study digital and business-related subjects remotely and at their own pace. These include AI, entrepreneurship, marketing, communication, finance and business operations. The course on AI covers responsible use and practical applications in workplaces and businesses. Tesda said most of the courses do not require a college degree, prior work experience or specific educational attainment. Learners need a valid email address, internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer to access the platform. Interested learners are required to create a Tesda online program account. Users must complete registration details and verify their account through an activation link sent via email before enrolling in courses. After registration, users may browse available courses and enroll directly through the platform.
