Census to begin in West Bengal from August 1: Suvendu Adhikari

West Bengal's census will start on August 1, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said, adding that the exercise was delayed by the previous government. Data collection will occur from August 2026 to February 2027. Self-enumeration will begin on August 1. House listing and door-to-door visits will commence on August 16.
