Uttar Pradesh electricity bills to rise 10% in June as UPPCL imposes fuel surcharge

Electricity consumers in Uttar Pradesh will pay higher power bills in June 2026 as UPPCL has approved a 10% Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment Surcharge (FPPAS). The additional charge will help utilities recover higher power purchase and transmission costs incurred in March 2026.
