MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) will be deploying 240,000 workers from its Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers or Tupad program to help public schools prepare for the opening of classes on June 8. In a statement on Saturday, the Department of Education (DepEd) said it is partnering with the labor agency in conducting this year’s Brigada Eskwela, which seeks to ensure that public schools are clean, safe and ready to accommodate millions of learners at the start of classes.
