"The streets of the French capital descended into scenes of chaos and disorder on Saturday as supporters of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) clashed with police following the start of the UEFA Champions League final. Footage shows crowds running as police officers moved in to disperse them, with plumes of smoke billowing over the streets. Clashes were reported in several areas, including the Champs-Elysses, Rue de Rivoli and around Parc des Princes, where fans had gathered for public screenings and pre-match celebrations. French authorities said several arrests were made across the capital, with around 1,600 identity checks conducted as part of large-scale crowd-control operations. The Interior Ministry added that 8,000 police officers were deployed throughout Paris amid concerns over potential disorder. The chaos unfolded as the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal took place at the Puskas Arena in Budapest. The match was level at 1–1 after 120 minutes and went to a penalty shootout, where PSG secured a 4–3 victory."
