MANILA, Philippines — Some areas in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal and Cavite will have power interruptions from May 31 to June 6 to facilitate maintenance, upgrading and reconstruction work, Meralco said on Sunday. In Bulacan, power interruptions are set on May 31 in portions of Meycauayan City and Marilao from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow line reconductoring, pole replacement and relocation work. Areas in Bocaue and Balagtas, including the Intercity Rice Millers Industrial Compound, will also have outages from noon to 5 p.m. for line maintenance activities. In Metro Manila, portions of Mandaluyong City's Old Zañiga and Vergara villages will be affected by a five-hour outage from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 31 due to line reconstruction, reconductoring and facility conversion work. Parts of Malate, Manila, and nearby areas in Pasay City will likewise have a power interruption from 9:30 a.m. to noon on May 31. Affected locations include sections of A. Mabini Avenue, San Andres Street, Pablo Ocampo Sr. Street and Leveriza Street. Meralco said the outage is necessary for line reconstruction work along A. Mabini Avenue. Meanwhile, portions of Pasig City, Mandaluyong City and Taguig City will have overnight outages from June 2 to June 3 as Meralco upgrades facilities along Pioneer Street near Reliance Street in Mandaluyong. The interruptions will affect parts of Barangay Kapitolyo in Pasig, Barangay Highway Hills in Mandaluyong and Barangay Cembo in Taguig. In Rizal province, portions of Filinvest East Homes in Antipolo City and nearby subdivisions in Cainta will be without power from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 3 for pole replacement and line reconductoring work. Residents and businesses in Barangay Hagonoy, Taguig City, will also be affected by an outage on June 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as Meralco replaces poles and reconductors lines in Bay Breeze Executive Village. On the same day, parts of Barangay Culiat and Pasong Tamo in Quezon City will have power interruptions from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to facilitate replacement of facilities and line reconductoring work along Teodoro M. Kalaw Street. Meanwhile, several areas in Bacoor City, Cavite, and portions of Las Piñas City will have power interruptions from June 5 to June 6 due to a series of line reconstruction projects in Soldiers Hills IV, Green Valley Subdivision, Moonwalk Village and nearby communities.
