Estrada’s daughter pointed dirty finger at me - Remulla

MANILA, Philippines — Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said he was given the dirty finger and cursed by a daughter of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada as authorities moved to arrest him on Monday afternoon. “There was a slight altercation between me and the daughter,” Remulla told reporters in Camp Crame after Estrada was processed at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) headquarters there. “She gave me the dirty finger and cursed at me. I said, ‘It’s okay. I understand you’re emotional’… It was nothing personal. Everyone became emotional,” Remulla added in a mix of English and Filipino Remulla however could hardly identify which of Estrada’s daughters did the gesture. Estrada has two daughters: Janella, who is the undersecretary for the National Authority for Child Care, and Julienne. Estrada and four others were ordered arrested by the Sandiganbayan earlier on Monday over plunder cases filed against them in connection with the flood control scandal. The lawmaker is now detained at the New Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory.
