Emek-Ar’s Labour Inspections Report has revealed that the inspection mechanism at workplaces under the AKP government has effectively become non-functional. In 2024, 99.7 per cent of workplaces were never inspected for occupational health and safety. According to Dr Güngör, who prepared the report, pre-announced inspections and inadequate monitoring pave the way for industrial homicides and the despotism of bosses.
