Offspring Among the Critically Endangered Northern Rockhopper Penguins at Vienna Zoo Schönbrunn

In April, ten rockhopper penguins were born at the Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna. Currently, they are beginning to approach the water in the polararium, the zoo informed in a press release on Tuesday. Initially, the young were cared for by their parents before the zookeeper team fed them in a separate area and weighed them regularly. In the future, the young birds are to move to an area with water access near the colony.
