Over 3,000 new accountants named

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) late on Tuesday announced that 3,004 out of 9,745 or 30.83 percent of examinees passed the Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination (CPALE). Results were announced four working days following the exams. The top ten of the CPALE are as follows: 1. James Al Alcayde Serondo - University of the Philippines-Diliman (91.17 percent) 2. Miko Andre Reyes Villenas - Southern Luzon State University–Lucban (91 percent) 3. Jonathan Eurich Lo Go - De La Salle University-Manila (90.83 percent) 4. Blas Miguel Villacampa Escarro - University of San Jose–Recoletos (90.67 percent) 5. Ace Benhur Macalipay Ligo - Mindanao State University–General Santos City (90.17 percent) 6. Angle Jean Geonzon Bagacay - Mindanao State University–General Santos City; Marl Angelo Mirador Caracas - President Ramon Magsaysay State University–Iba; Heart Cordero Pecson, FEU Diliman (90 percent) 7. Carl Ace Albios Dela Cerna - Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (89.83 percent) 8. Steven Brielle Salpid David - Xavier University; Ernest John Alburque Manalo - FEU Diliman (89.67 percent) 9. Andrea Santos Meneses - Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Sta. Mesa; Roverson Dayunot Mortega PUP–Lopez; Jamela Mehetabel Colarina San Juan - PUP–Sto. Tomas (89.50 percent) 10. Ivy Ramos Aldave DLSU-Manila; Joan Alliah Mocoy Carilimdiliman - University of San Jose–Recoletos (89.33 percent) “The results of examination with respect to eight (8) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations,” the PRC clarified. The CPALE was taken last May 24 and “succeeding dates” at testing centers in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
