Prime Minister Christopher Luxon’s Auckland office has been cordoned off by police after a fire. A spokesperson from the Prime Minister’s office issued a statement: “There was a fire at the office. Our staff are safe and were not harmed. It is now a police matter so we do not have further comment at this stage.” A staff member at a neighbouring bakehouse told the Herald five police cars were parked outside Luxon’s office, which is on Millhouse Dr in Botany. The staff member said a fire truck was also in attendance but had since left. They did not know why the office had been cordoned off.
