Oman Ranks First Globally in Export Supply Chain Start-Up Index

Muscat : The Sultanate of Oman achieved advanced regional and global results in several indicators within the World Bank’s 2025 Logistics Performance Index (LPI) report. Oman achieved first place globally in the “Export Supply Chain Start-Up” indicator with a record time of just 0.8 days. This achievement reflects the efficiency of its logistics system and the speed of its trade procedures. The LPI measures the complete cycle time of an empty container from departure to its return loaded and ready for export through the port, reflecting the high operational efficiency and speed of container handling at Omani ports. Oman ranked ninth globally in the “Import Supply Chain Completion” index, out of 165 countries. This index measures the time from the delivery of a container to the consumer until its return empty to the warehouse, reflecting the efficiency of import operations and the smooth flow of goods. At the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) level, Oman ranked second in the “Export Containers Remaining in Port Time” index, which measures the time an export container remains at the port of departure from arrival until loading onto a ship.
