AICC names Hariprasad as new KPCC president

BK Hariprasad is the new president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee. He takes over from Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Hariprasad was a senior Congress leader. The party also announced candidates for the Legislative Council elections. Siddaramaiah reportedly supported Hariprasad for the position.
