"Residents of the town of Al-Wardaniyeh in southern Lebanon held a funeral on Wednesday for six members of the same family - including a woman and two children - were killed in an alleged Israeli airstrike on the town of Al-Marwaniya in the Sidon district earlier this week. Footage shows mourners carrying the bodies from the town’s Hussainiya and placing them in ambulances before a funeral procession through the streets ahead of burial. "The victims were my cousin, his wife and their children. They were intimidating the residents; they didn’t have weapons, nor were they affiliated with Hezbollah or any other group" said Farouk Abdullah. On Tuesday, Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health said that an Israeli airstrike on Al-Marwaniya on Monday killed six people, including a woman and two children, and wounded four others, among them a woman and a child. According to figures released by the ministry on Wednesday, 3,516 people have been killed and 10,674 wounded since hostilities escalated on March 2. On Monday, US President Donald Trump announced a renewed ceasefire aimed at halting attacks between the two sides and averting a major Israeli strike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. The Israeli military said operations against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon would continue. "
