Ritabrata Banerjee named LoP after 58 of 80 TMC MLAs back new bloc

West Bengal Assembly Speaker recognised Ritabrata Banerjee as Leader of the Opposition. This move was backed by 58 Trinamool MLAs. The new bloc also nominated Deputy Leaders and a Chief Whip. They have appealed to former CM Mamata Banerjee to serve as their chief adviser. The group stated they have no connection with Abhishek Banerjee.
