CEBU CITY, Philippines — More than 3,000 families in Bogo City finally received financial assistance on Wednesday, nine months after a powerful earthquake flattened their homes in what Governor Pamela Baricuatro herself described as a “long-overdue” release of aid. The Capitol distributed P32.15 million in cash assistance and rice to 3,215 households whose houses were destroyed by the magnitude 6.7 earthquake that struck northern Cebu on Sept. 30, 2025.
