Companies urged to invest in flu vaccines for employees

MANILA, Philippines — Health experts urged workplaces to prioritize the welfare of their employees by investing in flu vaccination. In a statement Thursday, leading health maintenance organization (HMO) PhilCare, in partnership with biopharma company Sanofi Philippines, said investing in vaccination for workers is a “cost-effective” way to protect and sustain productivity in the workplace. “These are opportunity costs that companies do not immediately see. When we invest in vaccination, we are also helping employees stay healthier and avoid more serious health complications over time,” said Dr. John Paul Caesar Delos Trinos, a health economist.
