'We screamed for help!' - Israel's overnight strikes on Gaza kill 11, injure 32 others *DISTRESSING*

"Israel's strikes across several areas in the Gaza Strip have killed 11 people and injured 32 others, with residents left reeling from the overnight attacks. Footage filmed on Thursday shows extensive damage inside apartment buildings. Funeral ceremonies can also be seen being performed for victims of the attack. Ibrahim Labad, a victim's relative, recalled that the explosion occurred in the early hours of the morning, causing walls to collapse, filling the apartment with dust and debris, and igniting a fire. "We tried to open the door, but it wouldn't move. We started screaming for help from our neighbours," he said, adding that his daughter, her husband, and their children were killed in the strike. According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), Israel's strikes across the Gaza Strip included attacks on four residential apartments in the western and southern parts of the city. The IDF confirmed overnight strikes but rejected claims of attacking residential areas, stressing that the operation targeted a military compound. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said the death toll since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, has reached 947 people, with 2,935 others injured. War broke out in Gaza on October 7, 2023, after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing 1,139 people, most of them Israeli civilians, and taking more than 200 hostages. In response, Israel launched a large-scale military campaign in the Gaza Strip, including airstrikes and a ground offensive, which had killed 72,956 Palestinians and injured 173,043 others as of the time of publication. Last January, US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff announced the launch of the second phase of Donald Trump's 20-point plan to end the conflict in Gaza, which includes moving from a ceasefire to disarmament, forming a technocratic administration, and beginning reconstruction."
