"The Third International Conference on Dialogue Among Civilizations and Tolerance 2026 continued into its second day in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, bringing together officials, academics, religious leaders, and media representatives from around the world. Footage shows Chairman of the UAE National Media Office, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, alongside officials and guests arriving at the conference venue. Sheikh Abdulla and Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to the President of the UAE, were also seen delivering keynote speeches. Speaking at the event, Sheikh Abdulla said the UAE model is founded on the belief that genuine progress is achieved by combining technology with values rather than choosing between them. He stressed that the UAE serves as a platform for dialogue, a bridge between cultures, and a meeting point for peoples united by shared human values. "Today, our responsibility extends to building a global humanitarian discourse that ensures technology remains in the service of humanity," he said. Sheikh Abdulla added that the UAE, which views tolerance as a source of strength, dialogue as a necessity, and people as its greatest asset, remains committed to building a future where technology and human values go hand in hand. For his part, Nusseibeh said the UAE's civilisational identity has been shaped by openness while preserving its roots, as well as by the values of hospitality, moderation, and respect for human dignity. He noted that these principles have become a guiding framework reflected in the country’s policies, culture, diplomacy, and engagement with the world. The Third International Conference on Dialogue Among Civilisations and Tolerance 2026 opened in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and runs through Friday under the theme, 'The Impact of New Media and Artificial Intelligence'.
