Two groups of pilgrims from holy places arrive in Kosovo

Family, friends and relatives of the pilgrims gathered in the early hours of Friday at the airport to welcome them after their several-week stay at the holy sites in Saudi Arabia. Two groups of pilgrims from Kosovo have arrived at Pristina International Airport "Adem Jashari", having completed the obligatory pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. Family, friends and relatives of the pilgrims gathered in the early hours of Friday at the airport to welcome them after their several-week stay at the holy sites in Saudi Arabia. The atmosphere at the arrivals terminal was characterized by emotions, hugs, and congratulations on the safe return of the pilgrims, who were joyfully welcomed by their families. On May 15, the first group of pilgrims left Pristina, and this group is the first to return to their homeland. The return of pilgrims will continue in the coming days, until June 8, when the last group is expected to land in Kosovo. A total of 1,576 Muslim believers traveled from Kosovo for the 2026 Hajj.
