An unattended tourist bus rolled downhill in central Helsinki on Saturday and struck a woman crossing a street near Senate Square, leaving her with serious injuries and prompting a police investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The accident took place shortly before 1pm on Unioninkatu, one of the streets surrounding Helsinki's Senate Square. According to police, a parked bus began moving on its own and travelled several dozen metres down the slope before colliding with a pedestrian at a crossing near the corner of the square.
