At least three soldiers killed as Israeli airstrikes target several areas in southern Lebanon's Nabatieh Governorate

"At least three soldiers were killed as a wave of Israeli airstrikes hit several areas in southern Lebanon's Nabatieh Governorate on Saturday.
Footage filmed in the Kfar Hounah, Sajd, Zabdin and Kfar Tebnit shows plumes of smoke billowing in wooded areas away from residential zones, as well as a house destroyed amid strikes.
Lebanese Army released a statement confirming the deaths of three soldiers - two officers and a private - driving a military vehicle in Kfar Tebnit municipality. In turn, the Israeli army announced a strike on a vehicle 'moving suspiciously towards soldiers' in Kfar Tebnit. "Given the confirmed indications that Hezbollah was firing in the area, as well as the threat this posed to the soldiers, the vehicle was targeted," the statement read.
According to figures published by the Lebanese Ministry of Health on Friday, 3,558 people have been killed and 10,870 others wounded since the war broke out on 2 March.
On April 15, US President Donald Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, and on April 23 confirmed its extension for three more weeks, following direct talks hosted by Washington between Lebanese and Israeli officials, before the US announced a further 45-day extension in mid-May.
However, the ceasefire has been fragile, with the Israeli army and Hezbollah continuing to exchange attacks.
On Wednesday, the United States announced that Israel and Lebanon had reached a new agreement to implement the ceasefire following talks in Washington; nevertheless, mutual attacks between the two sides continued."
