"Firefighters on Sunday rushed to contain blazes in open areas and landfills in northern Israel as the IDF work to intercept incoming missiles launched by Iran for the first time since April. Footage shows three firefighters battling a wildfire at night. The fire erupted after Iran announced it had launched missiles towards Israel. The IDF said it was intercepting the projectiles, with air raid sirens going off in Haifa and several other locations across northern Israel. IDF Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin said Iran had 'made a grave mistake’ and was in the process of 'approving plans' for continuation. After the attack, Senior Member of Iran's Parliament, Ebrahim Rezaei, warned Israel of a 'decisive and painful response' over attacks in Lebanon's Dahiyeh neighbourhood on Sunday. "Look at the sky over the occupied lands tonight," he wrote. The attack comes as Israel continues to carry out its strikes in Lebanon despite the latest ceasefire in place. The issue has remained one of the points of contention between the US and Iran, which are scrambling to finalise a ceasefire proposal."
